Product Proposal:

As my project is related to the history of the role female characters played in video games, I thought it appropriate to create my own video game packaging. Although, considering my lack of computer information and adequate resources, it’d be impossible for me to design an entire video game for this project, I could definitely create my own video game cover and instruction book to illustrate my findings.

To do so, I would first have to design my own original video game plotline. Obviously, it would center around a modern female protagonist. Her journey, as of yet, is still undecided, although it would probably include some sort of journey to self-discovery. Current ideas for antagonists, as well as friendly AI characters, include the different images women have played in the past (Asian temptress, maternal fairy, etc.). Her arsenal of weapons would mimic the progress made over the years.

In order to educate my readers, I would include periodic explanations and descriptions of the various elements that would be included in this game. Brief historical background and significance would be included with the characters and weapons. The protagonist herself would develop as the game progresses. Ultimately, her image would be concurrent with the ideal that is currently propagated on the market. Reviews would exhibit the gamut of reactions sparked by such change.
