As I work toward the completion of my final project for WIL, the only thing I wish for is a little bit more time. I feel that I am just beginning to really understand what my final project is about, yet at the same time, I feel that I am only beginning to scratch the surface. Ultimately, with a little more time, I would have been able to do a better job on this project. There is so much information to digest and recreate for the audience that I feel that I could keep writing over and over, yet I need to portray a brief snapshot of all that was learned. Yet through the information I have gather, I have learned a lot about what the media does to society to capitalize the qualities of the ideal man and woman of the twenty first century. This project has provided me with the tools to research and present many facts that had a bigger impact on me as a researcher. I was able to explore and then find out what the ideal man and women of the twenty first century looked like. It truly boggled my mind to see what an impact many Hollywood celebrities had on everyday people within a community with their interpretation of how and what characteristics create the ideal man and woman. From this point on, I have a different view of what the ideal man and women of the twenty first century is like. The ideal man and women of the twenty first century is unique just like you. Through this project I have learned that you don’t need to have the looks of the ideal man or women to be happy with your life and as Jonathan Chan an eloquent eighth grader wrote, “We are beautiful just the way we are.” Project Idea Ahi Editorial (Ahi) Research Paper (Ahi) WorkCited (ahi) Pictures (ahi)
