The following is a link to 100 different prompts that various colleges use around the country. I know there are a lot of them--just take a gander and see what jumps out at you. Perhaps there is a college you are interested in that has a question listed!
1. Talk it out. Sometimes the most interesting idea will come from a larger one. Have a conversation with someone that will ask you questions about the topic you've chosen. 2. Consider pivotal moments in your life. How can you make your story fit the prompt? 3. Don't stop writing. You'll continue to draft. And draft and draft. 4. Get feedback, but don't get lost in others' opinions. It's your essay. You are going to college, not them! 5. Try to consider this a personal exercise. TRY to have FUN with it.
