This article was about two middle school aged girls, who beat up another 13-year old after convincing her to come to an empty field with them. Videos were recorded on cellphones and then posted on Youtube. This article was interesting, because usually violence in linked with males beating up girls, but here it is two girls doing the offensive behavior. The girls claimed to be getting her back for saying nasty things about them. Violence is usually a stereotypical male quality, but here these girls are definitely portrayed as very violent. The videos were removed off Youtube and are now being used as incriminating evidence against the two girls.

Questions:
1.) What would EVER prompt those two girls to beat up the third?
2.) Why did the student's videotaping not go directly to the police with evidence, and why would they post it on Youtube? As an achievement?
3.) What reasons promted the girl who was beat up to return to the field a second time?
4.) WHy do you think the girl did not tell anyone about the first incident?
5.) How has our society influnced girls as young as middle school to resort to violence as a resort?
