For this assignment, we had to design a panel to insert somewhere in Persepolis and write a short caption explaining it. I chose to draw a panel that goes right at the end of the book. I drew a picture of Marji and her new husband. This man is someone who she truly loves, not just someone to fool around with. Marji becomes a more independent woman and is capable of making her own decisions. When she is set free, she doesn't use her freedom to her advantage. Although she has freedom to do whatever she wants, she is tied down by marriage.
