A new drug is now legal to allow a take home abortion. The current method of abortion in Australia takes place in hospitals. In Australia, abortion is not considered moral except in a few cases. These are for special cases where the mother's life is in danger, or in cases of rape. I do not believe that this abortion pill is a step forward for women. Rather, I believe that this pill is a step back in the moral code of society. What gives a human being the right to take another individual's life. Is murder not wrong? Along these lines, it is important to recognize that the expansion of methods of abortion will lead to much harder regulation. It is reasonable to allow abortion in hospitals because it is easier to ensure that there is a reasonable cause for the procedure. As a result of this drug, I believe that abortion will easily expand to women who simply do not want children. This is because the drug would be more easily available to the public, which could easily allow for an increase in the number of abortions. These increases in unjustifiable murders, is not gray area at all. It is simply immoral.
