GRAPHICS PROJECT10566018_16ea9f7c8a_m.jpg

Now that you have completed your first personal narrative, you will further explore the world of the graphic novel by turning all or part of your personal narrative into a page of graphics.

Your page can take many forms. Remember our day of exploration with Satrapi's graphics? She used both multi-frame and single frame approaches. Her art was simple, her words meaningful--and she got her point across.

Consider the following:

  • Do you want to highlight one singular moment of your narrative or a progression of moments?
  • Do you want to capture a moment of conflict, or of discovery?
  • How can you use visual space and metaphor to emphasize your point?

You have a few choices in terms of how you'd like to accomplish this.
1. If you are artistically inclined and like to work with your hands, by all means do so: draw, color, paint, collage even.
2. If you are a techie, try one of these handy-dandy online comic generators:

You will present your completed project on Friday, 9/18.

Have fun with this!
