When we use images from the World Wide Web, it's best to attribute them to their proper source. Admittedly, it's a little time consuming to do, but to not do so is basically plagiarism--so let's make a point to do it.
There are ways to imbed images to both this wiki and to your blog.
I like to use Flickr Creative Commons as a site for images that have been posted for the public to to use--this way, there is no question as to whether or not you are "stealing" from a site.
Here's what to do:
1. Go to Flickr Creative Commons. This is an area that has been created specifically for people to share photos and images for creative purposes.
2. There are several levels of permissions, but I would suggest the one labeled Attribution-Non-Commercial-Share Alike. This means you're good to go; you can use the image and even change it if you like; you just can't use it to sell anything.
3. Type in a search term.
4. Find a picture you like. Click on the button that says all sizes.
5. Download the picture to your desktop.
6. Make a new tab, so you can go back to the Flickr site.
7. Go to your blog/wiki, and make sure you're in edit mode. Click on the add picture button.
8. Follow the instructions and position your picture where and how you'd like it.
9. GO BACK to the picture on the original flickr site. Copy the url for the picture.
10. Click back to the blog/wiki, and insert the url below your photo.
11. Highlight the url and click on the link button. It will ask you for a url. Just press "paste" again, and the url for the photo should appear. Press the button to save.
12. Go the view mode on your blog or wiki, and make sure to TEST the link. It should go right to the orginal source on Flickr.
