This site called WomensMedia and educates people the different views and issues women have to deal with. This site helped me put together my project and has very interesting articles and podcasts. Final Thoughts
I always wondered why there are more male known billionaires than women and I was interested in how they made their money. I wanted to know how gender had an affect on men and women financial success. Unfortunately I discovered self-made and business women have a harder time making "the big bucks." Society has higher expectations and look more closely to their faults. Although now in statistics it's still proven that men make more money, women are climbing up faster than ever. There are an increasing number of organizations encouraging women to start their own businesses. However, as the numbers of men and women in the business world levels out in the world of computer science is still dominantly consumed of men. I realized that is not that women are not as smart they just have different interests in what we want to pursue and computer science is not one of them. Also, women to be taken more seriously because there are many assumptions women are less devoted than men. Women have to prove they are just as hardworking, creative, and smart. I believe slowly women will gain the same respect from their peers as men, however they will always carry a bigger weight on their shoulders than men.
